Open ear designs like this, and AirPods, are meant to allow in the sounds around you. They don't close up the ear canal. However, how is the sound that is delivered. Is it just really tinny or does it offer decent mids and some bass?
No, the Black Friday ones were these JLab ones

These fit and feel great like AirPods, although…. Sound quality is bad. I can have these up as loud as they get and I can still hear ambient noise around me.

Wish the one with the cord between the buds or the ones that clips behind the ears were on sale too…I had the former for over a year and they were great headphones for the price before they got lost. Kept a good charge too.

any time anyone tells you "its not even bluetooth" and you point out that bluetooth costs nothing to implement and isnt a reason why you should buy something

I'd like to grab a cheap pair of headphones to use in the sauna at the gym. These might do the trick.

I have the Gen 2 and I use them primarily for TV/streaming/Zoom/youtube and hands free in the car. They are way more comfortable than the earplugs with silicone tips and I like the open in-ear design much better overall. Volume is loud enough for me, though I don't use them for high quality music playback, so I can't vouch for the bass and stuff. Gen 2 earphones last me about 6 hours of constant playback, which is about what the specs state for Gen 3. $10 for casual listening and phone calls sounds like a decent deal, I can keep a pair at work, in the car and at home.

These look to be designed like those Apple air pods. Most uncomfortable pair of headphones I've ever used.
