A standard 100 count box of Lipton tea bag contains 8 oz of tea (net weight). This 1.5 lb box has 3 times the tea (equivalent to 300 small bags). A no brainer deal for non-fancy tea, especially since the small boxes has gone up in price (I used to stockpile at $1.50-$2 per box on sale, now they're closer to $2.50+).

Tea prices have gone crazy lately but this would have been a steal even in the before times.

Thanks for this! Picked up 4. Smilie
Grew up on very sweet tea. I make this just a pinch of pure stevia extract and some of the "ORGFUN Original Lemon Powder Made with Real Lemons, Freeze Dried Juice Powder" from Amazon.
It's just like southern sweet tea, except better, easy and healthier !

At Sam's Club, you pay $15+ for 48 bags. This is a great deal. Bought 5 boxes!

Can't tell if these are individually sealed. Tea will oxidize, so if not individually sealed, be prepared to drink lots!

I bought these "Iced Tea" bags before. Note: THESE ARE NOT COLD BREW ICED TEA. They require hot boiling water per instructions. Seems confusing/misleading.

About 2 years ago I snagged five boxes of Lipton 48 gallon size bags for $27. Each box came sealed in plastic. Took quite awhile to use all of that but it stayed fresh.

How do you even make 1 gallon of tea at one time? HOT water will bust a glass pitcher right??

How do you use these? I only make a cup of tea at a time so far...

We make a gallon of tea each time using one bag. We have a Lipton Iced Tea Maker. It works kinda like a coffee maker. Make no mistake, I'm sure there's different ways to use these and how to make iced tea but you put some water in the iced tea maker, put a tea bag in the compartment, put some sugar in the bottom of the pitcher and turn it on. The maker pours hot water over the bag which fills up the compartment and then overflows into the pitcher. We let the tea steep in the compartment for several hours and then dump it into the pitcher, mix that with the sugar then add cold water to the top and you have yourself a gallon of tea ready for drinking. (typically one pours this over a glass of ice cubes for nice, cold, iced tea)

I understand some folks in the world don't drink iced tea regularly or anything like this but it's common with folks in the Midwest and South, I think.

Oh, you asked about hot water breaking a glass pitcher. Not in my experience. The Lipton Iced Tea Maker has a plastic pitcher but I've seen other brands of iced tea makers include a glass pitcher.
