If you're looking for a fight, go elsewhere. I don't work SD or for you, and what I do with my free time is none of your business.

And, like I said, for me, this Amazon deal is better than the other Newegg, eBay, Walmart, etc. deals because I get 5% cash back. Some might find this useful. And those who don't won't. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Have a relaxing rest of the week!

Posted it for those who care or would benefit. For instance, this is the smallest AIB variant, for those with small cases. Plus, if you have the Prime credit card, you get 5% cash back on Amazon. That almost covers sales tax and saves one ~$37.
There are too many nvidia sheeps, they would buy an inferior product for a higher price as long as it has an nvidia logo on it. Truth is, they just want AMD to lower the prices so they can hope to get nvidia for cheaper.

Good deal for the product/SKU based on MSRP.

That said, as a product, come on AMD, let's get thet 7900xtx to this price, you'll make more money off volume. First you get volume and mindshare, and then jack up the prices. Learn from your own Ryzen division. Compete in tandem.
Almost 5x as many people have Nvidia GPUs compared to AMD even though AMD has been the better value for years. The sad truth is undercutting price isn't enough for them. Nvidia simply has better marketing.

Perhaps, but RTG has always had seriously flawed designs. I remember when I bought the R9 290, that thing was fast, the fastest even, but by god it was loud as a banshee and hotter than the surface of the sun. Not to mention Catalyst was complete garbage in drivers. Now, they have (more or less) solved the thermal design concerns; their drivers are as good as GeForce, and the interface far superior. They are poised to dominate, it's just a mindset thing. I fully believe they can do it, especially now with Nvidia seriously pissing people off with their ridiculous MSRP.

AMD probably just hasn't tried hard enough. look at how AMD snacking on Intel's shares in the processor market over the last couple years by beating Intel in price, performance and power consistently. have not seen that on the GPU side against Nvidia. 6000 series was a close match, then this gen loses again and no answer to the supers so far
Answer to supers is price cuts

They were close and are close now. $ for $ they represent the better value EXCEPT for those that care about RT and AI. I really don't want to pay the premium but am hoping to get into AI and from what I have heard so far, the toolsets for AMD lags significantly behind NVIDIA. Granted, my use case is pretty niche but there are others out there like me.

msrp from 4080 to 4080 super dropped by $200 with higher performance, more shaders...etc. 7900 XTX price dropped by about $70 with no change in hardware

price cuts don't seemed to be that competitive knowing RTX 4000 were too expensive. for comparison, Newegg had ASUS TUF 4080 super in stock for msrp yesterday

Oh wow, it's a $700 Sapphire Pulse 7900 XT. That's awesome, because there are only 3 other slickdeals for a $700 Sapphire Pulse 7900 XT already running right now. Thanks OP for this slick find!

Exactly how many posts of the same item at the same price do you need to be seeing before you recognize that yet another duplicate post of the same deal is not adding value?

Drivers as good as GeForce LOL. That would be a no. Nvidia is still way ahead on everything that isn't pure rasterization performance per dollar.

It's not the pure power of the card. They can compete there. It's the feature set where Nvidia consistently destroys AMD on. DLSS, Ray tracing performance, framegen… AMD has features that try to compete with these but Nvidia always does it better. DLSS quality mode is virtually indistinguishable from native raster and boosts your performance by 30-40%. Many find this feature to be absolutely necessary with the crazy demands of modern games.

I'd love to give AMD a shot. The only time I did, I sold my 6800 a month later after being dissatisfied with it. I'm willing to pay the $100 more for Nvidia because they're better. End of story, until AMD can actually compete. They're always playing catch-up with Nvidia's feature set but doing a poor job of it. They need to innovate on their own rather than throwing a bit of extra raster and VRAM at it.
