While results can vary by game or resolution, this GPU is around the performance of the 4070 Ti Super, or even slightly ahead of it.

This is a great card - it crushes the 4070s in pure frame rates. Not great for ray tracing (Nvidia always outperforms AMD) but very few games require it. Also microcenter will price match if you live near one

Holy moly that's a lot of VRAM

Edit: Rumor has it Nvidia isn't increasing the RAM on their 50 series cards aside from the 5090

Boy you ain't kidding. I didn't notice this before ordering and I just realy lucked out. I have a Fractal designs Meshify (2?) case and it is literally within 1/16" from touching the front fan (frame, not blades).

I have this exact card. Picked up a few months ago from Newegg in a ZipPay deal. Mostly seeing 100fps+ @1440 UW on max settings. Also have an hdmi run to my 4k TV and getting steady 60fps @4k on max settings (which my receiver is capped at).

All in all I am very satisfied with the 7900XT and anticipate it holding up for years to come.

Doing a build for a buddy now with a 7900GRE which at $500 is likely the better value for him strictly looking for 1440p but if you have 4k ambitions the 7900XT has more headroom.

I have this card. It's good. Does not get too hot and not loud. Use with an Alienware OLED UW. 3440 x 1440. Plays everything well. Heavy ray tracing not so much. Paid 720 6 months ago. If I had to do it again I think I'd get the GRE card due to the monitor I use as the GRE is enough for 1440P.
