Joking aside, what the hell is Hydrolyzed Collagen... it is the #1 ingredient!

According to Google AI "Hydrolyzed collagen (HC) is a low molecular weight protein that's made by breaking down collagen into peptides through a process called hydrolysis. The peptides are smaller and easier to digest and absorb than collagen in its original form. HC is a popular ingredient in cosmetics and supplements because it's biocompatible, biodegradable, and has moisturizing properties"

My wife also takes it for her skin.

As this item is called a "protein bar", and collagen as the main ingredient, anyone wanting to increase protein synthesis/muscle building/recovery from training benefits, will NOT achieve this from this product. Collagen, whether hydrolysed or not is an empty source of protein and does not offer any biological value for effective gains.

And next is the malitol...oh boy. Sugar alcohols cause extreme gastric distress in those sensitive to it or those not aware thinking it's the milk (protein) included in the bar. This just another cheap sugar like corn syrup and it's derivatives.

The regular price of $25 was absolute robbery! This should be priced no more than $10 for the little actual whey (milk) protein that's in it. Stay away from this bar!

Let's just all calm down, this is simply a protein bar deal, no need for "beef" haha. Sure, yes collagen protein is not a complete protein so not the best for muscle building and it is a cheaper source of protein as well. But what is wrong with that? These bars taste great and collagen can help with hair, skin, and nails. Not everyone is a bodybuilder. Some people workout for health and wellness simply. For them, less protein but better hair, skin, and nails and a bar that tastes like candy is more important to them.

Thank you for posting this info. I've bought these before and had no idea the main source of protein was collagen. Very misleading.

I love the taste of protein bars with sugar alcohols. If I were single and stayed home all day it would be fine. Don't believe they're an issue? Eat a couple of these before church…
