I read about 75 books a year and I only buy maybe 3-4
The rest come from my library for free. And I read pretty much everything on my Kindle so I never have to even go to the library.
Love using Libby!

That being said, this is a good deal on a book by a great author!

I love my library. A lot of the books are available there and even if they don't, if you mark the books as watching, sometimes they will buy it for lending!

That said, I prefer to own some of the books so I always have access to it.

time to stop being very productive. make some time for yourself to do nothing. Niksen. books like these sell the idea that productivity is very good. its good for capitalism.

Thriftbooks
I've also bought several used books on EBay, although a large portion of them are sold by either Thriftbooks or Goodwill.
A lot of sellers there will have a deal like buy 3 get one free if you buy everything from the same seller.

Wanted to give (yet another) vote for Libby.
I used audible for a long time. Spent a small fortune on audiobooks.
Someone told me about Libby (did not know they had an audio book section.)
Was QUITE upset to find out that audible was selling me freely accessible audio books for actual money! Literally half of the audiobooks I bought, I found on Libby!
