I still have a Privia from 2004 that sounds better than some other keyboards. This series seems to last.

Got one of these for my wife for mother's day. Great sound, nice output power, and hard to find a console-style digital that looks this nice in your house for anywhere near this price. Think this is a no-brainer if you like the action/sound. No Bluetooth if you care about that. I paid $250 more than this and am happy with it.

This is tempting. I'm looking to replace an ~15yr old Privia model that just started to produce an annoying buzz on one key. I'm disappointed I missed all the Kawai CA49 deals from this past winter that I was waiting for to come back. I may settle for this one.

The Kawaii ca49 deals were double the price as this one. Are they worth that price disparity?

Also, is this dead? Doesnt seem this price anymore?

Only the link mentioned above takes you there. If you go directly to Adorama or through some other cashback site, it doesn't work.

I bought this a few weeks ago on sale at the same price. At $750, it's a fantastic value. I also have a Yamaha Arius, which I like a little better, but you can't get one of those new for under $1000.

This piano is pretty slender, which is a plus if you are tight on space, but maybe a minus if you want to be able to use the surface as a place to put decorations.

This is a no-brainer, great deal @ $749 IMO!
I paid $700 and it was 1 year old with a bench at Christmas.

I had this exact model for 5 years and no issues. Keys feel great and one of the best sounding console pianos I've heard.

I mean, whether it's "worth it" is impossible to answer as it depends on your priorities. The Kawai ca49 is in a whole another class that retailed for around $3000 but was being clearanced out to make room for its replacement, ca401, which retails for $3100 so you're not going to find much direct comparisons between them and this Casio. When I tried out the ca401 at a showroom, I really loved the sound and the action. My 9yr old daughter is really starting to advance and probably will be playing for a long time (and has 2 younger brothers who are just getting started and enjoying playing too) so the CA49 for $1500 ish would've been worth it to me. That doesn't necessarily mean it's "worth it" to you though.

I have this piano. It sounds and feels so good. When you strike hard it's not just louder, it's a slightly different tone. The model/simulator they use is really advanced. It also is a nice looking piece in the home.

When I play on other people's electric pianos, you realize how unexpressive most electric pianos are. And when I play on a real piano, I realize how truly amazing this electric piano is because it is a pretty close match. I never owned a real piano, so it's really cool to be able to basically understand how one would act if/when I end up playing one.

My wife started to learn the piano and our beginner Casio Privia 320, although it has hammer action feeling keys, doesn't seem to have very many gradients in volume. It feels like it only has 3 volume levels based on how heavily you strike the key.

This Casio 870 also advertises "triple sensor" action. I'm wondering if this would have the same problem as my $300 Casio Privia, where there's just not a lot of volume control?

The azpiano guy has really good reviews like someone else mentioned. I have been reading his teaches for a while now and picked this deal.

Now that I mention it. He has a grandson continuous cancer treatment. I still probably donate there at least given the value I got out of his site.
