Holy. $450 laptops price range is crazy good, it's where the "bang for the buck" actually is. I've been saying this for years but people thought that $450 laptops were useless paperweights, as if we were in 2012

"Memory Slots:
Memory soldered to systemboard, no slots, dual-channel
Max Memory:
8GB soldered memory, not upgradable"

Sorry but that's dealbreaker

This listing spells the color wrong in the title of the listing (Artic). I saw this a couple days ago but that honestly sketched me out enough to stay away.

Wow a Yoga 7 in the $400 range. If this was a 16 gb RAM this would be a mega steal

Yeah I wouldn't get ryzen laptops with 8GB of ram. The Integrated Radeon graphic card will use up 2GB of ram

Pretty sure it's configurable in BIOS (it is on my L5Pro w/5800h), you can set it to e.g. 512MB; not a big deal unless you're running large games.

8GB soldered ram in 2024 is INSTANT no-buy...

Rest of the machine might be nice, but the lack of ram is a complete killer.

Good to see people being critical of 8 GB soldered RAM.

Meanwhile in Mac land, people actually recommend a $1200 M3 with 8 GB. Lol

Not for all laptops, for example Surface Laptop 3 w/ Ryzen won't let you adjust it. Learned it the hard way that losing 2GB out of 8GB will make a noticeable difference.

Different beast entirey.

Apple actually designs all of thier hardware/software to work in harmony.

Windows is like Android, here is an operating system... Put it on whatever... Doesn't matter if it works well or is quick.
