This is a fantastic monitor. Own it, love it. Great deal. I tried a couple of QD Oled monitors and I could not deal with the blurry text. For me, WOLED is much better. I use it for my main purpose monitor, work and gaming. No issues in the 2 months I've owned it.
Isn't 275 nits pretty low?

i bought this 2 weeks ago on Amazon for $750 and regret buying this monitor. Colors do not "pop out" as you say , thanks to this shitty matte screen it has. looking at HDR content on my LG C1 OLED and its a night and day difference.
Matte vs glossy screen. The glossy screen produce that super vibrant Samsung like colors but can be super reflective. Personal preference but seems like most are heavily one way or the other. Def check it out in store if you can

Ah nevermind, 800R curve might be a deal breaker for me. I feel like that's way too much curve to be usable.
How far away do you sit from your monitor? I've had a 29 inch LG flat ultrawide before, and the side was so distracting that I sold it months later and got an AW 34 inch curve

Got this for my son when it was around $800 and he loves it. Colors look really good. Too bad it had a short period for returns so no price matching.

Trouble with the curve.

I didn't realize excess curve was a thing. Well, except for the odd radio commercial.

Someone will have to comment whether there is a firmware update or setting to go above that. My Dell 34" QD-OLED monitor does 1,000 nits brightness after a firmware update added it. The only time you want to use that level of brightness is dark movies or dark video games. Heck, playing a game like overwatch 2 at 400 nits brightness via HDR400 at night burns my eyes. I have to turn it off.

Lg makes good monitor. After using 34 inch for 2 years I realize it's too small. I wish I would have upgraded to one 45 or 49 inch instead of 2x 34 inch

Took the deal. Better combined with amex 6% cashback and 12% another cashback site which is blocked by slickdeals 😂

The super vibrant colors on Samsung OLED panels is due to QD-OLED. Taking a LG WOLED and putting a glossy finish won't make it as vibrant as a QD-OLED. Samsung's own QD-OLED Gen 3 monitors are all matte displays but have higher color volume. This is due to QD-OLED having a RGB pixel layout and lack polarizer. While LG uses WOLED with a subpixel layout RWGB for this monitor and RGWB on their MLA+ monitors. LG's OLED monitors have a polarizer which is why they have a deeper blacks but the extra white pixel reduces the other colors and black detail causing crushed blacks.

Not that far. I'd say normal desk distance away. I feel like at 800R, you get a lot of distortion.

If you have a capital one card they have a cash back system similar to Slickdeals where you can buy items and get cash back in the form of gift cards.
