Tempted but really don't want to go back to having to use lightning cables again. USB-C version should be coming later this year (though rumored not to have any significant upgrades over this version)

Aren't these over 3 and a half years old at this point? Apple should have released an updated model by now.

Nice. You still get 10% back in total with any Amazon credit card. That takes care of tax and gets you an extra few percent off. Decided to add AppleCare Plus since I read they basically give you a new pair if anything goes wrong in the 2 year period.

Edit: 10% off looks like it's gone it was a limited time offer

Today only, Best Buy has a daily deal for Geek Squad Certified Refurbished AirPods Max for $360. All colors seem to be available.

I think the better deal is for $40 more, you get brand new from Amazon.

Makes sense. Their profit margin on these is probably 85%, which allows you to do things like that.

Have there been any improvements to these? Last I heard these break super easily due to condensation issues or something? I constantly read about people going through multiple pairs. I'm in the market for a new pair of headphones and have had interest in these but have stayed away due to the issues I've heard about.

Dang it, i got em last time for 450, i feel cheated. I need my fiddy dollars back. Good set of over ears and seamless integration with phone. Get the Apple care as there are complaints of them crapping out too soon.

If you're skeptical and can wait for new headphones the refreshed version of these should be announced in September. Likely won't be anything major though.

Lots of other headphones around this price point or cheaper that are better in some areas or close in quality. There's some Sony ones that I see on here all the time for pretty affordable though I think they're refurbished each time.
