Any deal on 715 camera version? I want to avoid to have two devices hanging from the back.
Using an action camera might be okay for short rides, but battery life is the main drawback - not to mention they don't include radar and rear blinking light.
With camera @ 1080p and camera on 100% of the time, you can get 6hours in daylight flash mode with the RCT715. You can also config camera just to turn on when it picks up a vehicle, but not sure how much battery that adds.

I have the RCT715, but only have used it for 3 rides (after running the 515 for years). The RCT715 definitely gives me more peace of mind - the camera quality is NOT action-cam quality, but the thing is a safety device. The app has also been much improved since launch and they introduced data overlays. So when you record, you get your speed and the car speed on the video.

Todays eco and electric cars are so quite you can't hear them over your breathing lol
All kidding aside, this adds in alerting others approaching you with a red light and detects them as they do giving you audible/visual warning.
What didn't work for with this?
