Nothing special about this bar but it gets the job done. A realistic working load is 500 lbs, give or take. Anything beyond that and you risk damaging the bar. I hated the closed version of this bar. Rarely used it so I sold it. My experience with this bar has been positive. Longer sleeves, easy to load/unload, and versatile. I use it weekly.
