Not sure if this is the lowest price, but it's low enough for me to pull the trigger.

Yes, this is the lowest. Been this price just once before but hasn't been lower than this.

I just purchased Lenovo 7i deal listed below last Friday. Is it worth spending $200 more (excellent open box available for $1000 out of door at our location) on this deal and return the 7i?

I am debating the same thing. If i didn't have the need for web conference i would go for 7i.

Oh why is that? Camera quality? I have both with me now and 7 days to decide which one I should keep. I must say 9i is lighter that makes using in tab format easy.

I bought a 9i Open Box deal from Best Buy. When the sale took effect Open Box prices dropped proportionately.

I bought the 32GB version, the keyboard layout sucks with a bunch of hot keys along the right side. They are easy to bump and change the power profile or set the screen to night mode. You also can't remap them. It also shifts the center of the KB to the left, so it feels off to type on. Ruins the whole laptop, I'm returning it and getting the Asus Zenbook instead for less money and some better features.

Interesting. I actually like that layout and think it gives little bit of cool touch to the laptop.

Maybe it depends on your typing style and how you are used to locating keys on feel. I have decades of being used to having Del, Backspace, Enter, Right Shift, and right arrow all vertically aligned and at the edge of the keyboard. If those keys were all aligned it may be a little better, but the fact they were not all aligned also contributed to the issues I had.

Another issue is the Print Screen button isn't actually a Print Screen button, its a hard coded Win+Shift+S macro. So I can't even use it as a part of a keyboard shortcut that includes PrintScr in ShareX.

If they were somewhere else that were less likely to be bumped it wouldn't be as bad. Or if I could remap them to something else, that wouldn't be as bad. But the combination of the 2 is a dealbreaker for me. Maybe other people will find those buttons more useful. But I have never set Windows to 'night mode' (at least before accidentally bumping the button 15 times in the last week) Windows power modes are 1 click away in the system tray. And again I keep hitting it by accident becase its where the backspace key should be - which isn;t a huge deal except when you go to eco mode and it turns your display brightness way down. Then you have a speaker mode key, which again isn't that useful. It also only toggles between 3 of the about 6 speaker modes. Personally I usually leave them set to Dynamic. At least I'm not hitting this constantly since the \ key isn't one I go for often.

I see your point.. Yes, not having an option to remap sucks!
But overall I am happy with the weight and performance compared to 7i, just debating if its worth spending 250 more
