I'd stay away from these cheapo clippers unless you occasionally use them. The motors are weak and the blades dull quickly. You will experience hair pulling at the slightest hint of resistance.
Get yourself a quality cordless from Wahl, Andis, Oster, babyliss and never look back. Just remember to apply oil and thoroughly clean after every use.

Great price but the reviews hint at a weaker motor and no lever so not ideal for fade where you need to set between whole numbers.

Yep. I think it has something like a 5 hr capacity and it takes about 15 min to shave my head. It maintains most of its charge while not in use. I was pleasantly surprised because I was expecting to charge it every 6 mo or so but the first charge lasted over a year.

I have to agree about rechargeables being so much more convenient since the cord doesn't get in the way. I've been cutting my own hair for at least 10 years when I received an adjustable Norelco hair trimmer from one of the sites that used to let you video review their products for free. That trimmer so far has done a tremendous job, because the older I'm getting I can do at least as well as the barbers around me here, and I can keep that money in the bank.

The only thing I have had to do for that Norelco trimmer in 10 years is replace the plastic comb, and I got it cheap off ebay a few weeks ago.

Connair are junk. Better buy Wahl.
I've had a couple and engineering design is made with extreme attention to planned obsolescence.

I looked at the latest reviews of Wahls and they are horrible

I shave my own head and a few years ago I went cordless; it has been a game changer. The cords on these things get all wonky because they spend the majority of their time wrapped up in storage. That causes them to develop lots of loops that love to grab onto anything nearby and knock it over. If you are like me and constantly switch between shaving the left side and the right side, you no longer have the flip the cable over the subject. You can also manipulate the clipper to any angle without having a cord get in the way.

The cordless clippers I got are presently $27.99 after clipping the $10 coupon. They hold a charger very well. I can only recall charging them twice in 3 years.

They will stand behind it, and are easily returnable if you have issues. Everyone commenting has not had to replace their whals for years, so they could have indeed turned to a garbage company and product. All the more reason to just buy it off the store shelf and see you got old stock. Just my opinion though.

I will say, almost no one reads the manual. For Wahls, they are not 100% perfect out the box when plugged into your outlet at home. They were 100% perfect at the QA stage where the employee set the screw to adjust the power and oiled them. So the instructions tell you how to adjust the screw until it's calibrated right.

How do I know that? It's in the manual for my clippers.

When you see comments here that the Pro versions are better because the 'clack' just like at the barbershop, we'll, yours could totally 'clack' to if you adjusted that screw. Read the manual, they are not supposed to clack like that, your barber is lazy and does not give two craps. Speaking of that, don't oil every cut. You are cutting one head of hair a day normally, they are cutting a ton. That's why they oil every day one time. You doing it every cut is bananas. Just RTM!

You're either very forgetful or suck at time and math. 15 minutes to shave your head, the unit has a 5 hour run time and charged twice in 3 years so we will say for the sake of this you charge it every 1.5 years. 15 minutes is one quarter of an hour so we times that by 4 to get 1 hour which tells us on average you can shave your head 4 times per hour. The units runtime is 5 hours total. So we take your 4 head shaves per hour times the 5 hours run time of this unit and it tells us you shaved your head 20 times in 1.5 years on average... What up Afro Man?! The ones I know going bald shave it several times a week, if you're not going bald and just like a shaved look you're going almost a month between shaves. According to my math you shave your head every 23.375 days.

Is Conair better than Wahl?
I bought a Wahl for 35$ a year ago. It pulls hair. If I turn-up the power, it makes an extremely loud vibrating noise.

Total reviews high at 4.6 but if you go through lots of bad reviews for 28 dollar clipper.

The wahl deal was a beard trimmer.

He's also only used it twice in 3 years so that makes sense!
-edit-
although it does seem to have a 188% battery charge in the last pic so maybe he's right??!?!

Not a bad deal... buy four of these and you can have a barbershop quartet.

The biggest problem with these lower-cost clippers is the blades can't be changed out when they start to wear/dull. Spending a bit more to get a cordless clipper that will take Oster or Andis blades is a better investment.
A link/model number to ones u recommend would be nice. Can't these be sharpened?
