The only thing I have had to do for that Norelco trimmer in 10 years is replace the plastic comb, and I got it cheap off ebay a few weeks ago.
I've had a couple and engineering design is made with extreme attention to planned obsolescence.

The cordless clippers I got are presently $27.99 after clipping the $10 coupon. They hold a charger very well. I can only recall charging them twice in 3 years.

I will say, almost no one reads the manual. For Wahls, they are not 100% perfect out the box when plugged into your outlet at home. They were 100% perfect at the QA stage where the employee set the screw to adjust the power and oiled them. So the instructions tell you how to adjust the screw until it's calibrated right.
How do I know that? It's in the manual for my clippers.
When you see comments here that the Pro versions are better because the 'clack' just like at the barbershop, we'll, yours could totally 'clack' to if you adjusted that screw. Read the manual, they are not supposed to clack like that, your barber is lazy and does not give two craps. Speaking of that, don't oil every cut. You are cutting one head of hair a day normally, they are cutting a ton. That's why they oil every day one time. You doing it every cut is bananas. Just RTM!

-edit-
although it does seem to have a 188% battery charge in the last pic so maybe he's right??!?!

The biggest problem with these lower-cost clippers is the blades can't be changed out when they start to wear/dull. Spending a bit more to get a cordless clipper that will take Oster or Andis blades is a better investment.
