This might be considered blasphemous of me to say, but Todd's one-off testing isn't always the most scientific or accurately representative of real world use. Torque Test Channel, with their much more thorough testing, rated these, along with DeWalt, as the best available.

Edit: Shop Tool Reviews also rated Milwaukee among the best, breaking free a nut that was torqued to 450 ft-lbs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXkLuZ6FKUk

Same! HD gave me free delivery today on one pack of these, and slapped on 10%mil discount. I don't think they earned a cent on this.

Thanks for the research. That guy really abused the adapters. That is definitely not how I use mine.

Home Depot price matched it in the store for me but told me after they rarely ever do it and it was an exception.

These are useful suckers - I find myself using them nearly every time I work on my car. My set is some no-name brand that came with a rubberized holder to keep them together - given how easy it is to misplace these things, the holder is one of the most useful parts of the set.

It's got to make you wonder -- what the heck was he using to test the cordless impact drivers? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jxZAKk_nSk

Based on the numbers for the clamping test, nearly every bit in the lineup would have broken with the Milwaukee driver creating 1600psi in that test.

It's the same Pittsburgh impact socket, but what's the adapter?!

Do you find using these with a driver on your car more useful than using a wrench with sockets?

Got these for $1 on TEMU and used two of these a lot. Just as good without the brand. Probably made in the same shop somewhere in a chinese village.

It depends on what I'm working on. If it's repetitive, I'll often reach for these adapters. A couple of recent examples: (1) I was replacing the windshield wiper motor (four l-o-o-o-o-ng mounting bolts, a couple with lousy access). Far faster to use a driver drill, sockets, and a wobbler rather than spend 10 minutes with a little ratchet (2) I was replacing the window regulator / motor assembly in a tailgate. Lord knows how many little 8mm and 10mm bolts. Way, way faster to use the driver drill, etc.
For onesy-twosy stuff (like the oil drain plug), stuff that requires some muscle (nearly anything that needs a 1/2" drive or an impact wrench), or stuff that requires some torque finesse (spark plugs, valve cover bolts), I'll break out other tools.
To be fair, I survived for decades without one of these sets, so it's not like they're "necessary", but damn they're useful for the right job.

When do you ever use a breaker bar on one of these adapter?

I like Project Farm but he should've tested them using an actual cordless Impact DRIVER to simulate real world use. And not a pneumatic Impact Wrench which also hits differently.

I've got Ridgid Brushless impact driver and use this same adapter often to work on my cars, including busting lug nuts with no issues.

I know it's not the "proper" tool but it's so much lighter and smaller than my Impact Wrench it's just easier to use.
