Depends on how you look at it. Intel has had a lot of quality control issues lately.
So personally I was looking for something not Intel.

Maybe a Core i7-14700 ? But someone else may be better educated on that.

I'd say this is more of a 12th gen i5/i7 competitor at a lower power consumption or a slightly worse 7600X. It's biggest strength is a really decent iGPU that blows away the iGPU on basically anything else but that's not too important considering this comes with a dedicated GPU.

Price breakdown estimate:
$280 CPU
$400 GPU
$50 PSU
$50 Storage
$50 RAM
$100ish case? Seems to have ARGB but it's not an off the shelf part.
$100 motherboard? Looks to have an integrated IO shield but knowing HP it could be proprietary or something. No idea as they don't show it.

So $1030 for the parts and you get Windows (and Assembly). Not a bad bargain but the CPU choice isn't great. Could get better performance with a $200 7600X but overall not a bad deal.

Maybe you can help suggest a cpu for me! I'm looking for a cpu all I care about is/need is speed and storage. Don't care about graphics cards for gaming or any of that stuff. Also, one that supports like 3- 4 monitors. it be great if I can just plug in the monitor. I will be using it for stock trading. So charts and stock software…

If I can get something that supports 3 monitors is fine too.
CPU/Processor
Intel i5-13600KF
Cooler
Arctic Breeze Ultra
Memory
16GB DDR4
Chassis
Hard Drive SSD
250GB M.2 SSD
Operating System
Microsoft Windows 11 Home 64-bit
Networking
Intel Dual Band Wireless Wi-Fi 6 AX + Bluetooth
USB Ports
6 USB A Ports (Expandable)
Pre-installed General Software
Falcon Diagnostic Monitoring System
Anti-virus Protection
Windows Defender
Graphics Cards
2 Monitor Support
Power Supply
500 watt
Sound System
High Definition Audio

Thanks for your support and help. Any good deals?

It's tough to give suggestions without knowing more information but personally, if I'm not wanting to game or anything I'd go with a Mini PC. Something like a Beelink SER8. An 8c/16t CPU with a good iGPU that can support 3x4k displays. Comes with 1TB NVMe storage with a free NVMe slot (can add up to 4TB NVMe drive) and 32GB of RAM. You give up expandability/upgradeability to get a small form factor and good efficiency. Amazon always has them on some sort of sale. Right now it's $499 after coupon. You can even go a lower spec (there's tons of them) but you just need to make sure they can support 3 monitors. It's extremely hard to beat the value of these little machines.

Unless by CPU you mean an upgrade to the computer you listed? If so, an i5 is already quite fast enough for your use case.

I kinda agree with this. If you are not gaming, this OMEN PC is overkill for you.
If just stock trading, get the Beelink. They support 3 monitors like you wanted and take up no room.

Thank you for your suggestion! I'll look into it…the above is just something similar that I would like to buy. Thx

Why put a processor with embedded graphics in a motherboard that can't use it?
Less cache and compute power for no benefit.

Seems like a bad choice and that's why it's discounted so heavily.

It can use it, it just doesn't need it. I imagine they had excess inventory of those chips which is why it's discounted, yeah. It's still a good CPU, just not fully utilized.

Too bad it only has room for one 3.5" hard drive. Need 2 to migrate over.

Just noting from my recent experience, the new 35L tower from HP/Omen is VERY nice. Great thermals. Great layout. Very very good. 👍

I thought this as well. I watched some youtube content and they mentioned it was the quietest PC. So the fans are excellent. I also went into best buy and looked at the displays. While not a perfect situation (the store is noisy so it is hard to get a perfect sample) the OMEN seemed completely quiet. Where the Ibuypower PCs I found those to be quite loud even though they were not really doing anything taxing (like not actively in a game) So if fan noise matters I actually do think the OMEN is the best you can get. I was eying the $699 ibuypower as well, it seems like a great deal on paper, but if you read the reviews on bestbuy.com several mention noise being a problem.

Also I found Lenovo Legion PCs to be extremely quiet too. I looked at those at Microcenter.
I have been waiting for another Legion deal to come back but I may just go with this OMEN.
