I would imagine this credit limit is not typical for most people who get this card.
$95 annual fee
Give it to my wife. She will easily spend 4k.

Don't do it. Their customer service is an disaster. Finally called to cancel my card because it wasn't useful after the bonus. Took 3 calls to get the card canceled.

the points expire 90 days after even if you have a Citi Double Cash. Happened to me.

They don't expire if the downgrade is a thank you points card.

Be careful, you get only $2000 credit limit and the transaction posting takes 1 week and credit card payment takes 2 weeks to settle. You can't over pay or high overdraft fee. It was a pain in the ass 3 months period of time to spend $4000.

Capone is better this way, payment gets posted immediately

I agree that Citi Strata does have lower limits than other cards. Anecdotally, I have $8K limit on Strata, $60K on CSP, $30K on BofA Preferred Rewards.

Can we use points for statement credit? What are the different options we have to redeem points?

They want high income folks. Put in a couple of extra zeros when they ask for it when you apply. I got this got card easily with the typo. Spent my $4000 and got $800 plus check in 2 months. I got like 20 cards also. Most of them dormant.
$800 is letting them off easy. If you travel you can transfer to partners that can make the points worth $1200.

Why not just downgrade to no annual fee card?

Be careful opening this card. If you have received the Citi Thankyou Premier Card bonus in the past 48 months, you probably won't get the bonus on this card, as this is considered the same card. I didn't see that until it was too late.
Thanks.forgot about it.

FICO around 836. Put in half a million annual income.
Got rejected. Don't have any existing Citi card. But this was my third application in last 6 year (min 2 year gap between each) and all three applications were rejected.
Looks like Citi don't like my name.
