I know the info is all over the place on these but I just want to note, they all have settings in them that allow you to adjust the xp and spell learning rates by 1-4x, along with options to disable random encounters and speed up combat.

In the end it removes a huge portion of grinding, and means you probably end up being able to play through them 3-4x faster than the originals if you use those options.

You don't have to use them if you don't like it, but I found it made the games a ton more enjoyable. I bought this mostly for V and VI as I loved those games from the SNES timeframe, but ended up playing through all of them in order because the cheats made it so painless.

If you appreciate these games it's a great way to replay them.

Doubt it'll ever go that low, but I hope so too.

It might take a while, but I can certainly see it getting down to about $35-40. I'd imagine they printed a ton of these this time around, but time will tell. I really want this set, but with the backlog I have, trying to hold out to it getting around $40 whether that is new or used.

Awesome to know! I got it at launch but I've been a little daunted. Didn't know any of this so thank you I'll dive in now.

Yup. Though 6 has some mechanics where you maybe don't want to, the rest of them, yah.

Can anyone confirm that this game can be played completely offline if you have the chip. I would assume so but I know that isn't always the case.

This should be $20 for a collection of games they did very little work on.

I have a feeling it's going to drop lower to $20-30. MSRP is crazy on this.
