What's the difference between this one and the df model that is more money?

Per the manufacturer on Lowes website Q & A:
Both models are cordless 18V 18-gauge brad nailers. The main difference is how the inside works and the warranty. The NT1850DG uses a mechanical spring drive system which allows the price to be more affordable. It also comes with a 1-year tool body warranty. The model NT1850DFT uses our unique Air Spring Drive System which makes this cordless nailer feel like a pneumatic nailer and is designed for pro applications and is very low maintenance. Plus it comes with our Lifetime Tool Body warranty. Both are great cordless nailers you will love- it just depends on your applications and budget. Hope this helps.

This model is also quite a bit heavier (5.5lbs vs 4.4lbs) which I'm assuming has to do with mechanical spring drive system weighing more than the air spring drive system

1/2" baseboard + 1/2" drywall and wanting at least 1/2" into the stud, I'd go 1.5"-2"

Shoot the longest nails you can for crown. And into studs or blocks angled to the studs. You don't want it sagging. Shoot them in a V oif you block it and it ain't going no where.

Menards had this for $99 plus 11% store credit (overlapping sales last Wednesday). I passed because of the mechanical spring but also have doubts about the air cylinder on the more expensive model (NT1865DMST). The handful of reviews I found on YouTube said this model only has a 5 year warranty, rather than lifetime, and the air cylinder on the other model needs to be refilled (either send to service center or buy a $50 connector). I'm holding off for now.

From tools quality prospective can anyone help compare between this and Craftman nailer ( same price) . I am on Craftman eco system but can have this Metabo nailer as it comes with battery and charger. I would like to know the quality and durability of Craftman vs Metabo.
