Have this 16". So many misinformed people. Bought mine at $999 about 8 months ago. Dropped to 949 and now $899. It's a great deal and it's a monster. No amp failures. They have full 5 year warranties on them for all the fear mongering going on about Klipsch amps. They are rock solid. You might need two people to move this dude around. And a divorce lawyer for when your wife leaves you. Or just stay single. Happy Black Friday.

You have an rp series? The only one that was known to fail was the regular R series. Sou ds like you like to just talk crap about Klipsch. Literally you are the first one that says rp amps fails a lot.

As someone who considers himself a bit of a Klipsch fanboy (I have a full RP line for my HT setup, including this sub, I have two unused RP bookshelf speakers, and I have an R sub in my office) I have read a lot of people complaining about failures on the RP subs. So, no, literally he's not the first person who has complained about it. But I see you also just joined Slickdeals, so maybe wait until you have a bit more experience here before you make an assertion as to what people do and don't complain about.

This is a spankin' good deal on the sub. I bought it when it was $1100 a year ago and that was a good deal. This is a no-brainer deal. I might even get myself a second one at this price.

BE WARNED. This sub is HUGE and HEAVY. The box it comes in is so big I literally have nowhere to store it. (It won't fit through the door into my storage area.)

Mine failed on my Klipsch SPL 15 inch. They sent a new amp under warranty . Sub sounds great!

Completely diff line that 15" was, it has known amp failure problems as the amp was a piece of sh*t on those 15" ones & all the other cheapo 12" ones they made as well and they had a 2 year warranty on them for good reason to not have to cover them after that.

this new RP line is a monster, especially the rp-1600, I wish I needed another sub or I would grab this 16" at this price, it is as good as anything out there that costs twice or more, I mean you SVS.. even thou I respect the heck out of SVS for there CS but they are no longer a value type of sub manufacturer like they used to be years ago.
