Is this any good for someone with a ROG Ally X ? Or does this only work well for the OG Ally ?

Saw this get posted multiple times ( at $30); might finally bite at 20. I believe it works with the Steam deck and switch as well !

After firmware upgrade using windows device, it's good for generic usb-c device. I can confirm it works well with my macbook air and nintendo switch, all function works normally. Should be good as well with other devices.

Had two of them. Both quit providing power. Best buy refused to warranty for a 3rd.

Not saying this is your issue but might be worth check that you are using the cable that it came with. I noticed that it doesn't work with all USB C cables. With the cable that it came with it has always worked, with several PD rated USB-C cables that I have also works fine. Other older USB C cables it just randomly works or not.

Also make sure to update the firmware.

Tried every. If you've had an ally since day 1 like I have and on the discord and reddit, it's known its junk.

Sorry to hear that. Just out of curiosity, do you have a link to the discord? I have an Ally and this charger, didn't know there was a discord for it.
