FYI, it's not the latest U6 series. The latest U6N 5 inch bigger 55' was on Thanksgiving sale for $299.
Purchased the 2022 model (U6HF) in late 2022 from Amazon for $160. I have a 55" LG C8 and a 65" Samsung S90D. Honestly, the U6HF still impresses me for the price to picture quality ratio (my OLEDs were 7X the price). It has been running 12 hours/day for the last 2 years and no issues at all.

This one's rating is much better than Costco one and it has local dimming, downside is 5 inch smaller, I'm still debating if I return my 55" for this, 1 hour drive too😂

No problem, this one is much better than that front page 40+ liked 200$ TCL q5 at bestbuy. I'm still debating if it's worth the hassle to return and buy this one lol

Did you check the settings? I know this TV (among others) sometimes come with motion smoothing (which I detest) and other types of processing automatically turned on. When I inititally watched my QD5, I thought something was wrong, but after disabling those settings, it's fine for me.

Mine wasn't blurry, and overall it's pretty decent, but I'm debating on switching because the panel is overall better than the 55 and I prefer Google TV over Fire TV.
Here's the comparison from rtings.

I've been going back-and-forth between this and the Best Buy model. Both seem to be running the same specs, but I feel like I'm missing something. Anyone care to chime in?

Have you considered returning it?

I was quite interested after seeing your post, and I can barely find any information on it. Hisense website as of right now doesn't even list the 50QD5N as a model and rtings doesn't have it either, only the QD6.
After checking specs and other websites these are the only things I could find.
Walmart 50U6H(2022) has 240 Motion rate, 4 HDMI ports vs Bestbuy QD5(2024) has 120 motion rate, 3HDMI ports.

UPDATE: I went to bestbuy to check on the TV, unfortunately they don't have one up as a demo. I talked to one of the guys working the floor and he mentioned that the QD5 is the same as QD6, but with Google TV instead of Fire TV. So I left and went to walmart and got the U6 instead. Just finished packing up the 55" QD6 and going to return it tomorrow.

I remember reading back in the days that their u series was their to of the line stuff and for someone who is looking for a 50" this might be the best thing for a rental or MILs house.
