Just a heads up, from my experience, these are not worth it. Broke on first use.

Even better price. I folded and will try it out. From the reviews, it may not be a good choice if you need it for some serious work. I have no specific use of it now. Get it just in case.

These worked for the snap ring I needed to take off of my KitchenAid Professional plus to regrease the gearbox and replace the worm gear.

Agreed. My thoughts from a similar deal in 2022 here. Probably fine for most light duty snap rings, but incredibly frustrating for any heavier duty rings.

If you're on a budget, I would probably put your money towards a kit of multiple one-piece snap ring pliers (even if they're imported knock-offs), vs the convertible style in this deal.

I find these convertible ones pretty frustrating to use in many cases. I have this set, but after struggling on a repair I bought a noname chinese brand on amazon with four separate pairs and they work so much better.

I can attest that these are ill-suited for anything beyond light duty snap rings. I have had them for 2 years, and I have found that because they are thin and the prongs are not one piece with the handle, they twist under any sort of force and slip out of the snap ring holes.

Still have mine from 20 yrs ago. I barely used it. Too old to do any wrenching.

These are so bad. Under any amount of pressure they will start bending/rotating, and if you're not very very careful the snap ring will pop off. I barely managed to get two rings off with it, then immediately returned them. It's a fundamental problem with this design, a few manufacturers make this style. I'd rather spend the extra money for Channellock 927s or similar.

You are too old or the ring pliers are too old?

Why four heads/pairs? Are there two for internal snap rings and two for external, as in duplicates? Or are all four for distinct/unique applications?

Internal and external in straight and right angle orientation. If you look closely, two of the jaw sets are bent to 90*.

No duplicates, different angles and such, if you just search snap ring pliers on amazon or similar you'll see a bunch of similar sets. For me they worked a lot better than these convertibles.
