Remember you need a ps plus premium subscription to stream on the portal so the cost is more than double if you don't already have plus.
I love mine. got it on a deal here for $150 and use it more than the PS5
Where is this announcement, no where has there been a mention of a new or revised model.

Seriously where do people make this stuff up

Good call. And you'd be out $130 plus tax, which could probably be utilize in a more valuable way.

Thanks! I'll swing by tomorrow and take a look I have some points laying around at staples.
Bought it at launch and it's only gotten better and more stable with patches.

It is SO worth it at this price, especially after the most recent (significant) update, which added cloud streaming games directly to the Portal AND fixed much of the PS5-to-portal streaming issues. Also, you *can* play some games remotely and do multiplayer (like Helldivers, for example). Great deal OP!

Wouldn't get these. Prices are down with the PS Portal Pro and it's OLED screen being debuted soon.

It's YMMV. As it's still full price on Staples website https://www.staples.com/sony-play...t_24584840
Also who price matches Staples? the only place i knew was BestBuy but they no longer price match local competitors or Staples. Only Abt, Amazon, Apple, B&H Photo Video, BJ's Wholesale Club, BrandsMart USA, Costco, Crutchfield, Dick's Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Microcenter, Nebraska Furniture Mart, P.C. Richard, RC Willey, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart.

I love my portal. Not only as a gaming device but even when I am watching YouTube or a movie I can organize my game library or browse the storefront from my couch. Also this thing does work as a controller for the ps5 when you are connected and paired with the portal so if you get tired of watching TV you can flip right over to the ps5 without skipping a beat. Since they added the game streaming it's been a pretty good experience. I never flinched when I purchased at $199.00. It's worth it to me. I tested the device with my phone but the connection wasn't really stable. Even at 5g it lost connection if my phone was not right next to it. Overall I am happy with it.

Never ever an old lady.
Usually it is a young girl 21-27 friendly and wanting to help because you are nice.
Managers often give the override codes to the young girls.
My brother once asked someone to say a price was #### if anyone called their hardware store for a price check. The clerk laughed and said ok. My brother got a hell of a deal on a set of tools that was a misprint when the other store called

Price matching is fun.
Had a bad experience with an old lady. Think it was Sears that was advertising an obviously incorrect prices for a 3DS game that I was trying to get price matched at Walmart. This woman was determined to do everything by the book, and got me when she saw it wasn't in stock at any nearby Sears. She had the biggest smirk on her face when she told me they couldn't do it.

Complete opposite when I got the same store to price match a PS4 controller. Only difference is it was a young girl. She did hesitate at first when I was trying to do it with an alternative color that wasn't even advertised, but she shrugged it off.
