You are absolutely correct, if you want to sweat your butt off dress in cotton, not very breathable especially when wet with sweat. My poly shirt stay dry by wicking the moisture away from your skin and allows it to evaporate which creates a slight cooling effect..!

Way to also be just as misinformed as the group you're trolling. A lot of people just don't like the feel of those specific synthetics, are trying to reduce the unrefuted by any studies micro plastic waste from machine washing/drying synthetic fabrics, and other benefits.
But most of all, if you have zero knowledge about a thing don't comment, Dunning-Kruger effect is strong. As an avid backpacker in many different climates and a chronic summer overheating person; actual wool in an appropriate thickness breathes infinitely better than synthetic in many weather conditions.
