United Airlines/ANA and Delta Air Lines have round trip airfares travelling from Tampa FL (TPA) to Tokyo Japan (HND) for $739-$744 making 1 stop both ways. These are basic economy fares that allow a personal item, a carry-on bag and 1 free checked bag. There is no seat selection and no change. Dates for Delta are limited but they're there. I have screenshots showing both airlines with both prices.

Not much of a deal for this time of year which is usually the cheapest time, other airlines are comparable. I'd spring for JAL on the long haul.
