I got the sapphire version on Black Friday and WOAH!!! I had no idea how amazing the Garmin watches were. I just wanted to upgrade from Samsungs dismal battery life. Well, it does so much more! Amazing health tracker. The Sapphire version doubles the storage internally and has a stronger glass, but I don't know if you need 32gb of storage. GREAT Watch!

Is this a legitimate retailer? They have an F rating from the BBB.

They are legit. I've purchased high value items from them many times.

A slickdeal! This is samsung like from Garmin. Fenix 7 pro goes on sale and then epix gen 2 for under $300. Unless one is very outdoorsy and drop their watch a lot, don't see a reason why sapphire is needed. I paid extra for sapphire storage but in past two years of Fenix 7 experience I've never needed it. My tip is to save the money and go for glass.

Just a heads-up, this is the 47mm model. They offer it in a 51mm version as well.

Does this work as heart rate sensor to pair with garmin edge bike computer?

I have an edge 1050 on my bike but need a dedicated ANT+ heart rate sensor to work with it. This watch seems a great deal with a lot more other sports features. Thanks!

Wish this was sapphire. I had the 965 and it scratched way too easily

Not this model - it's only available in the 47mm. Have to go to the Epix Pro to get different sizes.

Yes, you can broadcast HR via ANT+ or Bluetooth. You can set up a hotkey to make it quicker to access.
I've used an FR935 and FR955 for this for years and while they're normally accurate, it doesn't read well when cycling in cold weather until I've warmed up for ~10 minutes.

Have it love it. Fact is the new Fenix has adopted most of the Epix features.

While this unit is going away. The reason it is going away is it's too similar to the newer Fenix models. Touch screen, health sensor, screen tech (OLED) on new Fenix have been on the Epix. Epix gave Garmin a way to prototype and test for the next gen features without hurting Fenix name. Old style screen has less battery draw. 30 days of battery becomea 14 days with OLED, Touch and color.

Sapphire glass would be a huge plus but I just add a Tempered glass screen protector. Absorbs all the hits for a few bucks and no scratches. ✅

Great deal.
