Note the alarmingly large proportion (16%) of 1 star reviews, including many recent reviews stating they received melted chocolates. So possibly they have a batch melted due to improper storage that they are trying to dump.

And Amazon's return/refund policies have significantly worsened recently. No more refund for food items and don't know why I got charged restocking fee for some small household items.

This potentially erodes customer trust and destructive to shareholder values.
From the listing:

It is not RETURNABLE, but it is REFUNDABLE. People often get confused by this, including Amazon customer service.
I've gotten refunds for damaged products. You should have escalated.

Food items are not returnable but they're always refundable. They stopped giving refunds through the bot chat and now only through the real customer service Rep.

Oh my goodness thank you so much for this comment! I read it right after I placed the order. Thank God I was able to cancel the order, it was a gift to my mother-in-law!

Lol got their M&ms from Amazon. You can tell it came from a hot and humid place. All the gloss was worn off and some tasted a bit rancis. I imagine this chocolate being more delicate is going to look like shit and taste a bit weird.

The diminish in quality will definitely match the price. So set your expectations I guess.

I think I am done ordering food and liquid soap from Amazon. One food item was manufactured in a flimsy display box, they sent it in a paper bag, the package was destroyed the food was crumbled. The other item was Tide, I ordered 4 and in the box one opened and spilled half. I called the support Rep said she gave me credit for the Tide and will send the food item again and make sure it will be in a box this time. I checked my account because she assured me it would arrive before Christmas. There was no return done no new tracking number, she just straight up lied to me. Thinking about doing a charge back since I didn't get the refund.

I am all for cheap Tide but when you lose half a bottle and need to clean up the other items in the box it ends up costing more. side note they sent my liquid softner on its side, lucky that one didn't leak.

Unless they lie about the refund.

Amazon has an incredibly bad track record with Lindt truffles. They often arrive with the centers melted out of them This has been going on for at least a few years. Repeatedly careless year after year? Or maybe they bought them like that from the supplier intentionally to get rid of "on sale".
