BEWARE OF XM5's
The hinges are very vulnerable to break and Sony will not warrant them. Sony uses recycled plastic that apparently wont hold up to everyday use. Do a search for yourself or go on Reddit's Sony headphone forum. Thats why alot of users prefer the XM4's they dont have that issue.

At Fred Meyer they still have the xm5 for $199, and last week there was a coupon bringing it down to $169 - not sure if the coupon is still going on or not but even at $199 still the place to get it if you are near a Fred Meyer. In store only unfortunately and you can't check stock accurately online so you have to go in.

I find the headband uncomfortable on my set of XM5. I did enjoy the QC 35 until the power switch broke.

My power switch broke after 6 years or something. My friend said they let you buy a new one at a big discount. Figured I'd give it a shot and emailed their CS, they ended up sending me a brand new pair of the current model. That alone makes me partial to Bose even if it's not necessarily the last word in sound q. Don't expect that every time but was pretty amazing.

I might but you can find used ones for half the price you just don't experience the loss.... Yes the quality control on these are bad. They break from casual wear. Google it. You can tape them back up but for full price no. This is tempting
