Can the memory be upgraded? I can't seem to be able to find more RAM for this SKU.

Looking for the same answer, I think 16 GB are the minimum requirement nowadays even with Google Chrome office browsing

Check the manual to confirm, but it should be upgradable to 16GB (max with 8GB soldered in).

8GB is fine for light use and Chrome is actually using far less RAM than it previously did these days, with many memory intensive extensions being depreciated and the tab suspension feature they added.

LPDDR5 is not upgradable, I would check the reviews.

Maybe it have a 2nd slot? Looks like LPDDR5 won't work with a DDR5

LPDDR surpasses DDR5 in terms of speed and comes in a form factor that reduces power and footprint while enhancing performance. However, LPDDR memory isn't modular and must be soldered onto the motherboard, meaning replacing it for repairs or upgrades isn't practical

What makes you think it's LPDDR?

From what I've seen, they'd be using SODIMM if there's a free slot.

It's actually 6GB ram available. 2GB is used for igpu. You might be able to reduce it in BIOS.

Acer tech spec page says it can support max 16 gb ram and it has 2 m.2 slots so probably only one is taken and then only thing I can find on Disassembly is that it's a pain to take off the stand and that after that their is no exposed screws and probably glued shut so will be annoying to upgrade…

Where are you seeing that? I see no such info on the Acer product page: https://store.acer.com/en-us/aspi...-1300-ur31

And the product manual here is basically useless: https://www.acer.com/us-en/suppor.../downloads

This seems overpriced compared to a mini PC + monitor combo.

M.2 slots are for SSDs, not RAM. You're right that it says 16GB supported, but that might just mean there were variants that came with 16GB of RAM from the manufacturer.....I would not assume this thing actually has a free RAM slot that's easy to access unless I saw evidence.

I know that m.2 slots are for ssd but with it listing 2 I'm assuming one of them is open since it already has storage listed as 512 ssd
