Edit: well shoot, they're giving away the BT module for free with purchase, there's a promo link on the page
------------
"Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions can be utilized with the ECO-WORTHY data collector"

So no BT on this then, need some add-on accessory.

i am not sure why the deal-meister was not more specific, but they give you a free one when you buy the battery

I actually saw that but now when trying to check out I can't get the promo to work, it's not deducting the $27 cost of the BT module

Edit: well, screw this, it looks like the promos don't stack, adding the SD coupon cancels the $27 BT module

You can either get the $27 off in the bundle or the $55 off with coupon, but not both.

Eco-worthy had a deal on built-in BT battery a few months back as well for about same price. Definitely don't want to pay an extra $27 for a BT module for each battery, built-in is much more useful (like for Home Assistant)

Eco-worthy and their sister company DC House, regularly run specials on their batteries -especially on eBay. Their last good deals on their 12v /150-165Ah Bluetooth batteries just expired on 12/31. 150Ah w/BT was $168. 165Ah w/BT was $190-200. Those deals with listed on SD. These batteries use a phone app for Bluetooth vs an on-battery display.

Unless you're in a rush, I suggest waiting until their next specials on eBay. They always seem to be better priced on eBay. I'd also suggest to only consider buying a lifepo4 battery with Bluetooth app as that gives you cell level info. Monitoring the state and balance of the individual cells is the only way of understanding what is really happening with battery health.

Good info, thanks. I have an alert saved on SD for these batteries, that's why this deal was a disappointment. Any way to get alerted for their ebay deals directly other than checking manually or waiting for a SD post?

I have a SD alert set as well. So far SD has been pretty good about noticing the eBay deals, but I just manually check eBay periodically as well.

Is it expected if incoming tariffs will have a large impact on battery costs?

Very likely. Solar and battery technology have both been targets for the US to balance trade - China has subsidized their solar industry to undercut competition for many years. Haven't researched the situation for lithium and energy storage, but I'd expect some similar scrutiny there. Guessing deals will continue to pop up this month and in advance of upcoming tariff policy changes, b/c these companies are probably expecting tariffs. If you're going to buy, probably better to buy soon.

Also, if you're looking at building a solar system for your house - the Inflation Reduction Act has tax incentives that cover 30% of the cost. The IRA is expected to be cancelled this year, the President Elect has already announced plans, and he has the support in congress. 2025 will likely be the last year you'll be able to claim benefits from this. This benefit extends to tons of home improvements, especially anything that makes your home more efficient or use less energy.

I expect the price will be much higher. For that reason, I bought the battery and one 1500w inverter to backup the router+modem.

What will be most interesting to me is how any new tariffs changes will affect 'de minimus' values, or even if they will still exist.

https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/nati...reases-800

Should de minimus remain, one simply purchases in small increments. SDr's are already used to that, getting around sale count limits at regular stores.

Edit: Rambling more on this, suppose de minimus lowers to $100.. I think we'll see dumping of batteries @$99 ea. Instead of $164, etc. but that cannot be done with stuff clearly worth much more.

I bought 1 and it arrive today with 32% charge. I am currently using Noco Genius10 to charge it. Wish I buy 2 more in the sale to make 6kw. It is good price for 150ah.

Had no idea that DC House was a sister company. I fell in love w/ DC House after so many good deals around BF.
