Anyone try this combo to see if the read speed is really close to 180MB/s using the supplied reader? My understanding (and correct me if I'm wrong) is to obtain high speeds over 100MB/s, you need a reader that support some special transfer modes, otherwise, you max out around 80-90MB/s (real large file transfer speed in Windows).
I was looking for a tiny USB-C reader similar to the one here, and found one from UGREEN on Amazon, but tops out around 90MB/s even with a 1TB Sandisk Extreme.
If you look for B0D988KCXZ on Amazon, it has USB-C and has DDR200 support.

Yeah it hits those speeds. Samsung and SanDisk have some weird proprietary tech that goes past the 100mbps limitation of UHS.
It's called UHS-I DDR200, though different companies have other names for it. Some readers support it, most don't.
Tried to price match to Best Buy to avoid potential fake from Amazon. Best buy denied the price match because they don't price match to a sale. It's kinda a joke...if it's not a sale, why would I try to price match. Best Buy is really worthless. Last time they denied price match because it shipped by Amazon but not sold by Amazon. Ridiculous!

Regarding the not sold by amazon price match, that makes sense. If it's not sold by Amazon, then it's like someone selling on ebay or Facebook marketplace. Sure, Amazon, handles the shipping because the seller paid for Amazon to handle all that, but the price is set by the individual seller and not Amazon.
But yeah, best buy sucks at price matching. They're like that kid who just before you tag them they say timeout, or say it didn't count because you didn't do 16 backflip and howl at the moon before tagging them.
