I bought the 142 piece set less than a year ago for $77, so doesn't seem like a great deal. For anyone wondering about the set, I've used most of the non-sockets and wrenches. The specialty bits come in handy and everything is still in great shape after almost a year (which wasn't the case for my previous harbor freight tools)

I almost went ahead with it, but the 10% discount feels too minor, so I'm holding off for now.

In for 1. Been looking for a decently priced backup tool kit that doesn't have 12 pt sockets. This seems to be a great grab and go kit. Could use an adjustable crescent wrench and maybe some pliers, but for the price, it covers enough bases.

It IS labeled as a "mechanics tool kit". If you've ever worked on German vehicles, there's nothing "BS" about Allen keys and torx bits. This is a solid kit.

The 168 piece atleast has 1/2 drive. Honestly price is not that great. I have 2 sets of dewalt and I am not a fan of the ratchets at all they are large and clunky to get in tight areas. Probably better off spending more and getting a Milwaukee set or less and getting one of the husky/ hart/kobalt 3 drawer sets that go on sale for 100 periodically

I42 piece has 37 bits. No thanks.

Better sets out there that usually sell for under $100.

I got this as a gift from a family member about 5 years ago. It's been by far the MOST helpful toolkit I've ever had. Has pretty much every basic thing you'd need. Absolutely love this set.

If you look carefully at the pictures, the 142 and 168 piece sets have different ratchet designs. The ratchet on the 142 is a much much smaller head, in fact one of the smallest ratchet heads you will find currently on the market. Project farm even says that on his latest ratchet comparison https://youtu.be/thLm3y3HjYI?t=665

If you want a slim, super high quality, lifetime ratchet, buy a Matco, expecting an end all be all ratchet out of a kit is bonkers.
