Not familiar with the recent controversy and really don't care, I am not renting anything from them. Hard to get scammed buying a product that does what it's supposed to at a decent price. Predatory lending is nothing new, and the cases are top notch.

Basically, some geniuses rented NZXT computers at insanely high APR, likely the same people that lease cars and take payday advances... they simply can't read or understand a basic contract.
I'd rather you get the full picture vs a TLDR or TLDW. That person asked for clarity and I felt a few lines of text wouldn't do it justice.
From a normal consumer standpoint, it definitely affects buyers. The video also addresses the previous issues with NZXT cases causing fires and only when the regulatory body got involved did they do something about it.
So don't buy from a scummy manufacturer. There are other great cases from non scummy manufacturers, e.g Fractal

This is a well respected brand, caveat emptor, this case is a great deal at 60/80 dollars.
It's easy to find bad practices within any company, but overall, NZXT produces high quality cases that are a good value at their normal prices. If you're shopping for a case, neither of the "issues" mentioned should really come into play. If you don't feel like supporting NZXT that's perfectly fine, but this is a good product at a nice price, which is what SD is all about.
