If I didn't get a great deal on a 12" Hercules from Harbor Freight that I believe is comparable to this, I would have went with this.

The $800+ original price is a bit ridiculous. I don't think I've ever actually seen this priced at $800+. Lowes site says $599.

What are the odds? I was just going to get this miter today at Home Depot for 399 without the stand. Thanks !! Btw anyone is able to do store pick up? It is not allowing me because the stand is not available for store pick up.

It hasn't consistently been this price since October, but does seem to be on occasional rotation as the "Deal of the Day": today (Jan. 16), previously on Dec. 16, previously on July 17.

Lowe's doesn't do this like HD does, they will either offer you nothing for the return of just the stand or tell you they can only return it all as one

Stores around me got cleaned out of the Hercules and none were willing to hold when I did find a store that had one.

Is the stand worth it on this or am I ok finding a less expensive saw and putting it on a table or workbench?

I got a Ridgid similar size and specs and you definitely need a stand, you can't be lifting and moving these things. they are big and heavy

No it has not. It has been on sale a few times at the price from various retailers, including Acme Tools, but it has not been at the same price every day since October.

Even this price at Lowe's is for today - 1/16/25 only. Come back tomorrow and it's gone.
