Just as an FYI, this is the Atomic version.
Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but the 2 modes it has are drill&hammer and drill. There is no hammer only function.

Came here to post this, the lack of hammer/chip only is a deal breaker for me on this guy.

Damn, I'm usually a fan of the Atomic versions but that's not a good feature to lack. Thanks for pointing it out.

Wow, that's a major feature that is missing! That feature is so good for using these as a mini jack hammer for things like tile removal.

If you're ok with a hack deal and spending a little more the big boy DCH273B is on sale for 172 at the homeless depot FWIW:

Anybody know if this is a legit "hammer" drill? (with actual spinning hammers and anvil, not just the slip clutch bump thing on the dcb drills)

Not sure if i explained it well, but anyone thats used a per ussion style verse the homeowner slip cam style will
know what im talking about…

This is a legit rotary hammer. Takes sds plus bits and everything. But beware its more like a glorified hammer drill. I have it and love it but i use it professionally for installing lots of tapcons, and like 1/4" and 3/8" anchors and such. Now that being said in no way ever does this replace the need for a real rotary hammer of at least 1" capacity class. It DOES NOT have a chip only mode. So drilling like a 3/8" hole in solid concrete it works with a normal 6" length bit it works fine but say you need to use an 18" bit thats 3/8" it will do it but struggles. Obviously hardness of concrete varies so much and also if your jus drilling regular block its fine. If you have no other rotary hammer i would say no to this. I consider it more niche even if dewalt wont say that. Nice to have but not necessary.
