For someone interested in buying stuff on Amazon and doing Microsoft word, this is still about 150 over priced then.

what are you looking to do with it? email and web browsing, or more intense apps?
For web use, just limit on many tabs you have open at the same time.

My i5 8th gen 2 in 1 works just fine with 20 tabs of chrome on Win 11 in s mode. I don't do games or heavy stuff. Just b browsing, light youtube.

When i visited bb during December, the bb sales rep said 8gb is very limiting as the os in those systems at taking 5 gb (i saw it) and said he got customers returning laptops with 8 gb ram. He didn't tried to sell me as I told him I was about to pick this zen with i5 (~400) that time, but suggested to get anything with 16gb. He wasn't sure what it why makes the latest processor or laptop needs it but told me general concern.

But I do personally belive, the ddr5 soldering isn't bad for many things and for most general public would be okay with 8gb as long as you know how to debloat any junk.

I didn't dig deep as I am still running fine with i7 6th gen laptop (which got 8gb soldered with an additional shot-i didn't add memory though) for very occasional use but if you are in market, get one with 16gb or appear expandable. Instead of improving of software lightness it appears market geared towards specs or heaviness on graphics.
