Just a heads up. They used AI on this which a lot of people are bashing and saying it reduced quality in many areas which would explain why this is so cheap.

I would do some Googling and look into it yourself to see if it's still worth it to you or not.

It isn't even the use of AI that's a problem. The problem is that the process to eliminate film grain also reduces fine details. Many/most film collectors prefer to have some grain in the picture, so it's more an issue that physical media continues to be produced for people who don't buy physical media, and the people who actually do buy physical media can't get it the way they want.

Completely scrubbed of grain with extra bright colors? That's perfect for Netflix or Hulu, but not for the physical media market.

Its been around this price off and on since release. I'm not interested in the fluff and discs stored in sleeves (guaranteed scrarches), so I have held out on this release.

The UK release is the version most of us will want. (All 4K UHD Blu-Rays are Region-Free.)

Its $47.05 shipped to the US. The exchange rate and shipping adds quite a bit but some of Amazon's 4K disc's are cheaper than in the US, so might be worth it to add on a few more.

That's been a problem with a lot of recent 4K releases. The studios are missing the point of the medium and just aren't listening to the customers. The biggest problem with this release isn't even the DNR, it's the fact that it's missing HDR. All 4 short films have SDR only, so that fancy Dolby Vision TV will only display the same color depth/contrast range as a regular blu-ray for this 4K disc. A major missed opportunity here, and we probably won't get a fix until 10 years after 8K becomes mainstream.

They have been nominated for All of the short films and Animated Features.

They won for TWT, ACS, W&W TCotWR

And yes, they are about as British as a hot cup of tea at the Buckingham Palace.

Since when is $80 cheap for a single disc?

I've been buying copies of W&G since the VHS days and was shocked at the "reduced" price here as a physical media collector with over 3K titles.

A real shame this set #1 doesn't include the most recent film, costs and arm and a leg, AND doesn't have HDR plus the digital manipulation.
