Once you try homemade flour tortillas, the premade store-bought ones don't taste good anymore.

I have not personally mastered my tortillas yet, but my SO's family has lol. The basic recipe requires butter or oil, flour, warm water, and salt. Obviously there are different recipes that vary on certain ingredients. I was gifted a tortilla press yesterday, coincidentally, otherwise, I would have bought this one. My current struggle with making tortillas is rolling them out, but with a press it seems to take away the hassle. I will be trying my tortilla press out tonight lol.

FYI..... After reading reviews it seams that the tortillas come out uneven (thicker on one side, and thinner on the other), otherwise the reviews seamed mostly positive.

Because it's a lever on side, all presses will do that. You're supposed to turn the tortilla 180° in the press and lightly press it again to even it out.

Flour tortillas are supposed to be rolled out. Corn tortillas get the press. Go for a wood press or one of those steel ones that are supposed to be used on the stove/grill.

True, but homemade ones get moldy within like a week. Store bought ones don't mold for like years somehow lol

I've found that using a cut open ziploc bag and a large pan works for me. Otherwise, would have gone in for one

Worth doing for corn tortillas?

LOL That's how a dorm mate did it in college. He got so popular, he started selling them and that's all he did in the evenings. I think he used wax paper & a pan though.
