This is actually true believe it or not. You can actually "Over light" a cigar to where it is burning "too hot" and it will cause some cigars to be very bitter or not taste the way as intended. If you are using a torch you don't have to light it long at all but it will not affect the taste or burn if used correctly

Just a reminder if you live in California. Not sure why, but they banned butane sales. Amazon won't ship butane refill tanks and you can't buy them in stores. I'm all about safe regulation but seems like an overstep.

Found this out when trying to get a refill for my kitchen torch. Alternative is propane. Just an FYI.
