Great price, especially as a PC monitor with the $100 extended warranty added for burn-in.

I still prefer the 48-50 inch size, a "wall of work space," compared to the 42-inch primary I use at a secondary location. I sit 2.5-3 feet away from the display, for about a perfect (imo) 60 degree fov. That's about the same as a person with a 32-inch screen at 2-feet away. In comparison, 42-inch at 3-feet is similar to a 27-inch at 2-feet.

This B4 isn't completely flicker-free, but far better than most displays of the size that use factory PWM dimming at 120-240Hz.

Just paid $500 for this. It's very useable as a monitor as long as your desk is deep. I need to go back to the feb17 thread and read the tips on ideal settings for desktop usage.

Not great for a room with tons of bright sunlight, I'd say though.

Do you have to have already been a member to be eligible? Wondering if it would be worth it to purchase a plus membership for $50, then buy the tv, get the reward and essentially have a one year membership free with purchase of the TV?

It's fine if you know how to adjust the settings, default vibrant will be bright enough lol

You are 100% correct. A deep desk of at least 28" to 32" is a perfect depth to host a larger monitor TV/Monitor on a desk. My other recommendation is to place the TV/Monitors on articulating mounts to place TV/Monitor deeper as well.

The plus membership is worth it even if you break even. The 60 day return policy alone easily pays for the price of membership.

Can you explain how the 60 day return policy pays for the cost of the membership?

I purchased this TV last month when it was a drop for $499. Thinking of purchasing this, getting the $50 reward and then returning the new TV on the receipt from last month. Is there a simpler way to get the $50 reward and does Best Buy validate TV serials on returns?

I guess that would depend on how much you purchase from Best Buy.

Personally, I've saved over $50 in being able to do price adjustments for items I've purchased that have gone lower in price within 60 days of when I purchased. I've also returned some items I realized I didn't need as much as I thought I did after the standard 14 day return policy.

Also, Best Buy plus membership constantly offers additional opportunities for bonus rewards on certain purchases which in this case would be the $50 reward for this TV.
