I've gotten at least 7 different push notifications for this in the last hour. Why does SD want me to get this so bad…?

Edit: And 6 emails

Edit 2: LOL the second after I post the first edit I get another push notification

I just bought and returned a month ago. Anecdotal, but ours made a popping sound every couple seconds for certain inputs (loud enough that I thought it could damage my speakers).

Yes they are. I'm no expert, but these should drive most home audio speakers. If the output is 100 watts, get at least 100 watts speakers. 100 watts divided by 2 channels equals 50 watts a channel. You will never damage the speakers by turning up the volume. I run 400 watt speakers off my 100 watt amp.

There are two things that blow speakers, distortion and power. The power rating on speakers is merely a guide as things like individual speaker impedance and crossover power capacity can vary. Learn to listen for distortion. You can easily blow high power speakers with a 25 watt distorted signal. It is much harder to blow speakers using a much larger amp without a clipped signal. More power is almost always better in general as amps usually start to distort beginning around 80% of power. All these are general guidelines as each amp and speaker are different.

Check in local warehouses, they were in clearence for $200

That was back in January and all warehouses in my tri-state area sold out within days. Same with the Denon turntable and the KLH subwoofer. All were at insane markdowns in-warehouse just to open up floor/shelf space.

Wondering if Costco bm matches clearance price. Buy it online for $300, return it to the store and rebuy at $200. Lol

Thanks for posting. Been waiting for this. If this is on clearance, I wonder what the replacement will be.

How is this compared to the Pioneer Elite VSX84TXSI (Purchased for $1000 in 2007)? I run basic floor stand speakers and an SVS PB2000 12" sub.

Not sure about electronics, but I've noticed that items that are not under 90-day return policy are consistently labeled with their original price, even when purchased on clearance or at a discount. I have noticed this for 3 items that I returned after 4-5 months

Thanks for posting about that. Yeah it definitely looks like something is up. One of our devs said a fix is in the process of being released so :fingerscrossed:

I wish they sold a version without pre-outs like this that had at least 140 watts. What's the point of 80 watts and no pre outs?

As a first time buyer of receiver, I'm just wondering How does it compare with Yamaha RX-V385BL? Even though, Yamaha model is 5.1 but it provides 145w per channel as compared to this denon model that provides 80w per channel. Doesn't it mean we can connect more powerful speaker/soundbar/subwoofer and get better sound output with Yamaha as compared to this denon model?

Nope, that Yamaha is entry level.
Per Crutchfield...
70 watts per channel into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.09% THD, with 2 channels driven

At $300, it's hard to pass up, especially considering its 8K support and Dolby Atmos capabilities
