They don't seem to be running it now but Lowe's regularly offers (1) CORE 4ah battery + charger free with a selection of bare tools. Great way to add tools and batteries without breaking the bank.
Edit: they are running it but only on select nailers / pinners.
I went to Lowe's Daily Deals for Bosch tools just now. Every single item is out of stock and cannot ship.

Looks like it's here, but "out of stock". May be worth a check at your local store.

Starlock system is great. Tool is excellent. You can find deals on blades. Snap on and release off. Way better system than others. Time is money
8ah is too heavy for the tool. 5ah is perfect
Not trying to discourage anyone, just not surprised.

Starlock is a bit more, but the blade cost issue is true of oscillating tools in general. Yes, you won't be able to get those really good cheap deals on junk blades, but those aren't worth getting anyway. Those seem cheap until you need to keep swapping them out quickly as they get dull.
But yes you'll be able to find deals more often on non-Starlock blades, because there are more brands selling them. The 2 main advantages of Starlock are the ease of changing blades, and the ability to have longer blades with good cutting ability due to increased rigidity due to the interface design. I have both Starlock and non-starlock tools to take advantage of blade/ attachment deals for both

Bosch is pricier than the run of the mill consumer brands such as Dewalt or Ryobi. Those work fine too. If you prefer a step up in quality, Bosch has a great lineup. I've had the 18v tools for years and they hold up great.
