Looks like Nimbot make a selection of thermal printers that all only use Niimbot labels. It also looks like not all of their labels work with all of their printers, and it can be confusing what lablels works with what printer. For instance, their address labels include the B1 printer in the title, but further reading reveals that they are only compatible with the B21 printer. They also charge for things in the app like extra fonts... which is a complete turn-off for me.
Have a thermal printer from another brand and the it works great but the labels all seem to fade over time. Is that the case for all of them or perhaps lower quality labels?

Thermal is like old fax machine paper or the pictures Chuck E cheese used to print. It's also similar to the paper used by most businesses to print their receipts. Sadly they will all fade over time.
I'd suggest looking for a better print label that uses ink or laser.

I use a Brother P-touch at work and home. So much that I don't write anymore because it's so easy to print out little labels (they have continuous tape and the printer just cuts it to length).
I find the Brother labels don't fade. When we had to destroy old files I've had to take an iron to the labels to make sure they're not readable.
