Thanks for sharing the deal AlyssaBabe! I've been waiting for the price to drop but didn't think it would happen so soon.

HDR brightness fix
To those of you suffering from bad HDR and/or blacks crushing really hard in dark scenes do yourself a favor and get a Nexus mode to fix the HDR brightness. It makes the game look far better and it only take few minutes to set up.

What do you need to do?
To make this work you'll need the following:
1. You'll need a Nexus mod account which is free to make
2. You'll need to download and install Reshade with addon support from https://reshade.me/
3. Then you'll need to download Native HDR Fix -- RenoDX HDR - https://www.nexusmods.com/likeadr...ii/mods/31
4. Drop that mod in your steam game install folder
5. Use the "home" key to bring up the Reshade mod to configure the brightness for HDR. This assuming you have HDR already enabled.

Additional note:
For those with non-HDR (SDR) monitors, I haven't found a fix yet for the brightness issue. Hopefully someone will eventually make one, but if you have an HDR compatible monitor, turn it on to fix the brightness issue.

It's worth the few minutes to get this working and improves the picture brightness/gamma by a significant margin.
Great deal on a fantastic game!
Astoundingly absurd and hilarious, fun combat, mercifully simple pirate ship battles that are pretty fun, and a pretty faithful interpretation of Honolulu.
I've read a couple of reviews that cited a lack of difficulty as a negative, as the difficulty curve absolutely PLUMMETS once you get to Honolulu, as you can acquire enough upgrades to be borderline unbeatable with VERY little effort, but I mark that as a high positive. Pulls focus from micromanaging menus and constant game stopping grinding, and pushes all the focus to the combat, exploration, and forward momentum. You go off course because you want to, not because you need to, and that is just fantastic.
The one negative I can think of are the cutscenes. There's a lot and they can get a little long in the tooth. I just started skipping cutscenes after a point. Call this a soft negative, cause I mostly don't like cutscenes anymore cause my gaming schedule is not what it used to be. I think most people won't be affected by this.
Nice find!
Damn, this dropped quick. I'm happy I didn't buy day one like I usually do with Yakuza games.

I want this so bad but I've yet to finish up the last one and have so many other things to play. This is one I'll wait on until the deluxe is super cheap

Definitely try the demo beforehand, the descriptions make it sound like a blast, but I found the gameplay to be a real slog.
