Killer monitor for a killer price, still slightly out of my budget. One can dream though.
If you have a Chase Prime Credit Card, you can get this interest-free for a year with 12 equal monthly payments of $80. It might be worth applying in your case if you really want the monitor, as you should also get a sign-up bonus. (Though I don't think it's going to be $200 at the moment.)
I'm tempted to use my Prime Card with 0% APR for this deal to consolidate my makeshift setup of four 27-inch monitors. But honestly, everything is working just fine, so I really can't justify the expense...
Good monitor good price. The G93SD is on the Samsung EPP store for $979, and the G95SD is there for $1001. I believe there's no difference in the C and D models, just the newer versions. I'm sure someone will correct me if that's not right.
The difference in the 93 and the 95 is the smart features, which I'm sure for most folks are completely unnecessary, but for just an extra $20, your call.
Samsung seems to have the monitor for $850[samsung.com], plus an extra $50 off with an Exclusive Upgrade Credit. I'm sure you could get the price even lower with an AAA discount[aaa.com] and cashback shenanigans. The model number appears to be slightly different from the one offered on Amazon, though I can't tell the difference...
The refresh rate is the difference. The one you shared is 144, the other is 240.
Hmmmm, are you sure? Under Key Features for the Samsung site offering, it states...[samsung.com]
Code:
240Hz refresh rate, 1ms(GtG)* and AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro give you a competitive edge with hyper-fast action.
I'm just too lazy at the moment to spot the difference but overall both offerings seem virtually identical...

Totally different model. OLED 1800r vs VA 1000r.
Ah I see now, thanks for correction and info; it's appreciated. IMO Samsung doesn't make the VA type clear in the listing so I don't feel too bad for missing the detail

Can't do it. I've had 2 Samsung TV's and 3 Samsung computer monitors die. The last one was my enough is enough moment. I've never had any other brand die on me and I have a lot of monitors.
I have the S95SC and I'd say the smart hub thing is the dumbest feature ever; a pain to use. The monitor itself looks good when it works. A few days ago, there was a software and firmware update from Samsung so I went ahead installed the updates. Then my nightmare started. The screen just randomly goes black for a couple of seconds, this just made the monitor useless for gaming. Searched online for a solution, talked to their technical support, nothing worked. I'd say away from Samsung if you can.

I believe the D is a matte screen while the C is a glossy screen. At least that's how it was on other similar models.
