This price has been normal for a while.
In saying that, I got this grill 2 months ago. So far, pretty awesome. Cooks well, lots of good little quality of life extras .
The fact that it can be compacted is not as useable as they make it seem. A lot of parts need to be removed to do so. It's good that the feature is there, but it's cumbersome.

How did you think it compares to the Blackstone?

i'd say it already wins with the front grease catch. The rear one is the worst part about the Blackstone imho, especially if you place it against a wall or something.

This is a best-selling grill with an overall rating of 4.8 / 5 stars.

Save 50% today as Home Depot's "Special Buy of the Day." I'm thinking it won't be 50% off tomorrow.

I have a Blackstone and yeah, front would seem more convenient.

Bought one right around christmas and we love it. Our neighbors came over to check it out and compare to their 4 burner blackstone and we went to compare to theirs. I feel like build quality is a little better - less shaky, more secure - but that could also be the quality of my neighbor's assembly skills... not sure.

I also enjoy some of the little extras - the spice/oil rack up front, the paper towel holder, the folding side-trays that become a cover.

We like ours.

I have both and I like the razor better. Gets way hotter and the folding arms are convenient for storage. I paid 199 for mine pre covid.

I have an older model of this griddle and it's definitely nice that the sides fold up to cover the top. I know one reviewer said they thought it gets hotter than a blackstone, that's the case in my experience with mine (I don't feel like it gets hot enough) but they may have made some design changes since I bought mine. I do like the front grease trap vs the rear on a blackstone. Otherwise it's a pretty decent griddle and I have used and abused the crap out of mine.
