Staples recycling is dead for me. The last Staples store closed in our metro area...picked up some good deals at their closeout event, though.

Before they changed their rewards program, I met the annual spend requirement for about 10 years in a row to recycle 20 carts at 400 points each every month. Then they changed the program and bumped me down to 15 carts at 400 points each. Than last month they bumped me down again to 10 carts at 100 points each. WTF? I buy laser printer toners, paper towels, case paper, everything for a small office from them, so their claim the bump downs in recycles is based on spend is nonsense - my daughter has been at 20 inks / 400 points each for years, even after the program changed, and she doesn't spend anything there other than to burn rewards every month.

Exactly, easy way to rack up points. Sometimes they just ask you how many you're dropping off so they can ring you up and then they don't even count the # of toner after they print the receipt

FYI: this offer gets re-added every month and in my experience it gets activated automatically. This may be important if you lost access to your staples account and cant reset password.

If you have staples plus, which costs $50 per year (no longer open for joining, but you can still keep it if you have one) then you can recycle 20 toners per month @ 400 points per toner. Maybe your daughter has that?
