This is also a regular sized SD card and not a micro SD card. So it wouldn't fit in a Switch or Switch 2.
Sry, I guess the coupon code is only for mid Atlantic states.

It's too easy to tell if you have a counterfeit. Run a speed test, etc.
Nothing beats Amazon free return policy, so no risk in taking the chance.
It's more than a reasonable fear. I've gotten a fake memory card directly sold from and shipped by Amazon themselves. They comingle stock even though they know this leads to fake items delivered to customers. They say they are doing everything they can to counteract counterfeits. They are not. They are lying. They make way too much money selling items and charging people to store and handle those items.
Yeah and Amazon did not make it right for me. Since it was past 30 days they didn't want to do anything about it and couldn't care less that they sold me a fake item.
I do as little business with them as I can and definitely do not buy any memory at all from them. Or other highly faked items like batteries.

It's a lot easier to just not do business with a company that doesn't care about selling you fake items.
Lack of inventory oversight is a double edged sword. It allows for return fraud as much as it allows for fraudulent sellers.
Amazon doesn't willingly permit the sale of fake items. More that they're too big to police themselves, or maybe their employees just don't care.

That's on you dude. 30 days is plenty of time to figure out whether or not you got a fake. It just wasn't that important to you if you missed the return window.
It's ok, same thing happened to me once, with a completely different product. I learned not to miss the return window. 😄

Oh yeah for sure. It's definitely a problem on both sides. All the more reason not to do business with them.
Of course they don't willingly permit the sale of fake goods. That would be admitting they're guilty for the very thing they're doing. How silly would that be. But like a landlord turning a blind eye to sketchy cars dropping wads of cash and receiving little bags they're not innocent. They know what's going on and aren't willing to do ANYTHING. Oh they'll put up a nice section on their website on how they prevent fraud and they'll certainly ban sellers, many who are actually innocent small businesses and weren't selling faked goods but were violated themselves by Amazon's sketchy business practices.
They can say they are "doing everything they can" but when you're a victim of their practices and have evidence and they don't care? In fact they'll delete your review stating that Amazon sells fake memory cards.
So tell me again how they don't allow fake goods to be sold?
How is it my fault? Victim blame much?? This was YEARS ago. Way before it was widely known that they comingle fake products in the same bins as real products. I bought it from Amazon sold and shipped. Silly me for thinking I was getting a genuine product? The microSD card was an EXACT duplicate. The packaging wasn't suspect and the card was absolutely perfect (looking at microSD cards it's easy to do there isn't much place for logos or holograms). It took me a year to find out it was a fake because it worked. I put it in my Switch and didn't run into a problem until a year later. When it kept saying it was full. How should I know it was really a 16 gb card instead of a 128 gb like it said. WTF should the onus be on the customer to test and ensure their product is legitimate when buying from a mega corporation "reliable" store???
